Rob Bossemeyer founded the company in 2000 to offer consulting services in speech technology research and application development. Prior to forming this company, Dr. Bossemeyer spent 18 years performing research in speech technologies and developing new applications for these technologies at AT&T Bell Laboratories and Ameritech Science and Technology. Most recently, he was responsible for speech technology (speech recognition, speaker verification, text to speech, and speech coding) specification, assessment, and application development for Ameritech companies. Prior to Ameritech, Dr. Bossemeyer was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories where his research led to practical new approaches to speaker verification and speech recognition.

 His ability to identify new concepts and innovative uses of technology to facilitate business opportunities has led to over 50 patents.  For example, Dr. Bossemeyer was responsible for the speech technology component of Ameritech's new Talking Call Waiting service and a named inventor on three patents granted for this product that was awarded the 1999 Most Innovative New Voice Service Award by Inter@ctive Week.  In 1993, he led a team that developed a voice activated computer work-station to perform office tasks and was presented with the National Easter Seals Award for Technology to Assist Those With Disabilities.

Dr. Bossemeyer has chaired sessions on speech technology at major international conferences and has authored several papers on speech technology and its applications.

Dr. Bossemeyer holds the following degrees, all of which are from the University of Michigan: PhD. in Bioengineering, M.S. Electrical Engineering, M.S. in Bioengineering, and B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He was elected to the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society, the Eta Kappa Nu Electrical Engineering Honor Society, and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
